About Custom Configuration Groups
State and Department Administrators can create Custom Configuration Groups to better organize their Custom Configurations. If a custom configuration is not assigned to a group, it automatically belongs to the Stand-alone Custom Configurations group.
To Create a Custom Configuration Group
- From any page, go to Administration> Pick Lists.
-
Search for and click Custom Configurations. The Custom Configurations page opens.
- Click + Add Custom Configuration Group. The Create Custom Configuration Group window opens.
- Enter information in the fields.
- Click Save.

Group Recurrence
Select either Single or Multiple.
Selecting Single allows users to answer the set of questions for this custom configuration group once. Questions are located in a separate shaded box and labeled according to your specifications.
In the example below, the two text entry items—sample field and sample 3—and the three checkbox items—Bad Incident, Cat Incident, and An Incident—were each identified as part of a Single recurrence group. They appear in their own area of the Department Specific section of the run record.
Selecting Multiple for the Group Recurrence field allows users to answer the set of questions for this custom configuration group more than once. Configurations that are of Multiple recurrence also appear in the Department Specific section of the run record. Each time a user adds another instance of configuration group, with a list of the configurations in the group.
In the example below, users can click + Add Fingers group name as many times as applicable. Whenever a user clicks + Add Fingers, the popup window will offer the configurations Ring, Thumb, and Middle and their associated questions.
When a user answers the questions on a configuration, the entry is saved and appears in the table. If users wish to enter another instance of the configuration group, they will click the group's + Add link to create another entry in the table.
