This glossary describes words and acronyms used frequently in CDX and CDX help documentation. Words are defined in general and then, where appropriate, described in relation to CDX.

Automated Notifications
Notifications that are sent regularly to specified system users.

Business Objects
A reporting and analytic application that allows you to build customized, ad hoc reports with information from your ePCRs. You may not have access to this feature.
Business Rules
Logical requirements for completing a Patient Care Report based on the Patient Disposition selection; used to process and validate uploaded run records.

Computer Aided Dispatch.

Data Elements View
A way to view your uploaded ePCRs with specific formatting. This view presents all the data in tables and allows you to jump to different sections.

Electronic Patient Care Record
Exception Request
Made when the information to be submitted for a certain month is not ready or available for submission.

NDR Request
No Data Report Request. Made when data is not available for a certain month.

PCR View
A way to view your uploaded ePCRs with specific formatting. This view is formatted as a report.
S
Schematron File
An XML representation of business rules to be used in the validation process for uploaded files.
Standard Notifications
Notifications that are sent on the fly by administrators to anyone in the system for any purpose.

Validation Scores
A score assigned to a department that determines whether the department's average submissions are acceptable over a given period of time. A department can receive a score of Low or Acceptable. Scores are calculated by taking the number of run records submitted without warnings or errors, dividing that number by the total number of calls a department has received, and multiplying the result by 100 to create a percentage.
