Medical directors play an important role in establishing your agency's protocols and setting general practice guidelines. They also play a pivotal role in the QA/QI process, ensuring protocols are followed and identifying areas for improvement. With TripTix CDX, medical directors can be directly involved in the QA/QI process, reviewing run records throughout various stages in the record's lifespan. In general, the most typical times a medical director becomes involved is when a reviewer identifies the need for a higher-level review. However, there are other areas in which the medical director may be integrated into the QA/QI process.
Specifically, in the context of reviews within CDX, medical directors can:
-
Be called upon to review a run record that is currently within Supervisor Review.
-
Complete a review of a run record in QA Review or Supervisor Review.
-
Assign a run in Supervisor Review to a specific reviewer.
-
Send a run record to Corrections.
-
Request an addendum to a run record.
-
Withdraw a run record from the Corrections and Addendum queues.
-
Perform actions on a record directly from the Run Summary page.
