This glossary describes words and acronyms used frequently in TripTix and TripTix help documentation. Words are defined in general and then, where appropriate, described in relation to TripTix.

Broselow-Luten Color
A system designed to give emergency health information for children according to their length and associated color.

Capillary Refill
The rate at which blood refills empty capillaries.
Controlled Drugs
Include Morphine Sulfate, Midazolam (Versed), Diazepam (Valium), and Lorazepam (Ativan)
Crew Member
An individual participating in the call that is a member of your department.

Defibrillation
A common treatment for life-threatening cardiac issues that involves an electrical shock.
Department Administrator
A user that possesses the Department Manager permission. Individual responsible for any configurations and settings that affect their department's workflow.
Destination Location
The location where the patient is unloaded for definitive care.

Pickup Location
The location where the patient was picked up by EMS.
PIN
Personal Identification Number; unique number defined in a medic's profile in TripTix CDX that is used to log in to TripTix Windows.

Record Owner
Author of the run record; the party responsible for finalizing the run record.
Run Record
An electronic patient care report Sometimes referred to as a just a 'run,' a run report, or an ePCR.
